Can you believe my little girl is a month old already?!? I can’t! It seems like just yesterday we brought her home. But then, it feels like she has been a part of our lives forever!
She is a very healthy, happy, smiley little girl. She is so well behaved. She has the cutest little expressions.
When we brought her home from the hospital she was so tiny.
We haven’t weighed her since that week but we have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning so I’ll update the blog when we have her newest stats!
UPDATE!! We just got home from the doctors. She weighs 8lbs, 2.5 ounces, is 21in long! She’s in the 50th percentile for height and the 20th for weight which means she’s long and lean! Doc says she’s growing right on track and is even slightly ahead on some milestones (following an object with her eyes and focusing). She got her HepB shot today and cried! She got a snoopy bandaid though!! 😉 Oh and one more update since yesterday… This morning she started crying REAL TEARS!!! Why didn’t anyone warn me how heart breaking that is??
Here she is at her first doctors appointment:
She was clearly thrilled about the experience!!
We celebrated Easter with my family and got the first picture of all three babies! They are going to be such good friends as they grow up!
Harper hates bath time but loves the snuggles in the warm towel after bath time. Here she is after her first bath. I just love how alert she is!
We had professional photos taken by Dixie Landrum photography and she did an amazing job!
I just adore my little munchkin so much!
One of the hardest things about being a new mom is breastfeeding. We are lucky that we are doing well breastfeeding but I am so exhausted because I cannot sleep for longer than 3 hours at a time. The most she goes between feeding is 4 hours at night now, so after I feed her and burp her and change her diaper, I get about 3 hours of shut eye before we repeat the process! It’s better now, for the first 2.5 weeks she was only sleeping 1.5-2 hours at a time which was … Well… Let’s just say, I now know why sleep deprivation is such an effective means of torture!
She is sleeping better now. She started in the cradle but didn’t sleep well in there. I blame it on my terrible swaddling technique!
Then we moved her to the rock n play, and she sleeps much better in there!
She took a nap in her crib today for the first time and did great! Her dad and I only checked on her 8 times in an hour and a half! Pretty good, if I do say so myself!!
She is such a snuggler. She loves to nap on her daddy’s chest.
So precious!! I love her many expressions!!
She loves tummy time and has very strong neck muscles!!
She smiles and imitates you now! And she can follow a toy with her eyes that moves in front of her!
I could go on forever but I won’t!! 😉 I’m so proud of this little bundle of love! She’s such an amazing addition to our lives!
