30 Weeks!!!

Someone needs to tell this baby to slow down! She is growing like a weed and I’m already 30 weeks!

So, I missed a few weeks… (my bad!)

Here I am at 28 weeks:

We went and did a 3D/4D ultrasound at 28 weeks. My mom and dad, and Aunt Lisa and Henry joined us. It was so neat to be able to see her. You can see each of us in her already!

Here we all are at Stork Vision.

Aunt Lisa got Leon and I a heart beat teddy bear so we can listen to her heartbeat anytime we want. 🙂 We love it!!

At the ultrasound, the tech said that she is measuring big… 3 pounds 6 ounces already. She estimated that she would be 8 pounds six ounces at birth. Oh my goodness… that is a big baby!! She is also very long. We think she will have her daddy’s height. She has her momma’s mouth and her daddy’s nose and feet. 🙂 It was SO amazing to see her. She reacted to us as we spoke. She recognized our voices and smiled when she heard us. She even opened her eyes. I loved this and although it was a luxury to do the ultrasound at this point, we are glad we did. And we would definitely do it again!

After the ultrasound mom, Aunt Lisa and I went to Babies R Us to register. (One more thing I get to check off my list!)

We had a lot of fun and we even got prime parking!!

We’ve registered now at Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby… and I have to say – it was sooooo overwhelming. But very fun. 🙂

I also took my glucose test in my 28th week. I got my results quickly – I passed with flying colors! You have to be below 160 and I was at 116. I ate 2 candy bars immediately after getting my results…. this baby loves sugar and chocolate!!

I’m 30 weeks now and getting bigger!

Without makeup:

Here is my questionnaire:

How far along? 30 Weeks 3 days.
Total weight gain/loss: I’m up about 21 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Oh yes. I can still wear some non-maternity tops if they are stretchy.
Sleep? Meh. I toss and turn and get up to pee about 8 times (no exaggeration there) a night. I also have terrible carpal tunnel (this is a new pregnancy symptom) so my hands and arms fall asleep at night. I wear braces on both wrists but they only help a little bit.
Stretch marks? Still none! However my belly button is getting rather shallow…
Best moment this week: Working on the nursery and dresser (pictures to come!)

Miss Anything? Coffee. Sleep aids (you don’t realize how much you take Tylenol PM for granted until you can’t have it!).
Movement: Yes! She is very active. She likes to push and poke me from the inside. You can also see my belly move now.
Food Cravings: Chocolate peanut butter ice cream, lemon pound cake.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Raw hamburger or chicken & any pungent or strong smell really bugs me.
Gender: It’s a Girl!
Pregnancy Symptoms: Swelling, Carpal Tunnel, Round ligament pain, heartburn… and some others I’d rather not talk about! the carpal tunnel is really bothering me lately. It has gotten progressively worse and my hands go numb at work now. I also get shooting pains up my arm into my elbow. Before, it was just at night. Leon got me braces which I have to wear at work & asleep which slows me down typing.
Labor Signs: Nothing new!
Wedding rings on or off? Off – I’m just too swollen!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! Excited!
Looking forward to: Getting the nursery put together.
