One of my biggest dislikes in this house was the dated… well… everything was dated! The pink countertops, the blue walls, the brass light fixtures… Even the lovely southwestern valences the previous owners so graciously left for us.
Last weekend I was perusing the Lowes ad and found an awesome light that would go perfectly over the entry way inside the house. Leon liked it too, so we went to Lowes to pick it up… While we were there we figured we might as well pick out all the other light fixtures that we wanted.
This is what we had above the door, it’s terrible and every single house in Arizona comes with this fixture. I was going to paint it oil rubbed bronze to spruce it up a bit but I LOVE the new one so much I just can’t wait to trash the old one!
Annddd… drum roll please… the new one:
I love it!!
The next light fixture we replaced is the ugly track lighting that was over our kitchen table.
And the new and improved:
So much better, huh?!
Last but not least – in the kitchen nook:
And the new:
I’m so happy with the outcome. I think they look fabulous!
